It’s not everyday that you get to see the FIRST Inspirado of 2014…in fact, today is the ONLY time when you’ll be able to do so. Megawatt newbies, The FLOOD bless The Inspirado Stage tonight. They’re a team of gentle giants, lovers…not fighters. This gives them a finesse unlike any other improv team in the history of planets. But can they use their improv genius to take down 3-time Inspirado Champions Weekend of Regret? Uhhh…Who knows?!

The Wrath took the night! It was everything you’d ever want from an Inspirado showdown and even more! Trashtalk was trashy, improv was funny and voting was so so close. But, at the end of the night there always has to be a winner.
The Homewreckers put up a great fight, but in the end it just wasn’t enough to defeat the almighty Wrath! The Homewreckers were up first and chose physical and received Structure- they had to use the window on The Magnet stage as anything but a window. The Wrath chose Dumb, and received Ugly- they had to perform a set with paper bags over their heads. Wonderful.
Next week! Human Pyramid, an all lady team, takes on The Wrath! Who will win? You decide! INSPIRADDDOOOOO!!
The Homewreckers are coming to the Inspirado stage and they aren’t messing around. This former Circuit team has made it to the big leagues and plans to stay here. This Thursday night at 11pm, Megan Gray and Louis Kornfeld, Magnet royalty, will spend their day of love battling Weekend of Regret. They plan to use their commitment, 14 year relationship and dark chocolate to win over the audience. Can they do it?
Weekend of Regret is ONE SHOW away from OH SHIT! Can they get past Megalou to face the 4th OH SHIT! Challenge of ALL TIME? You decide. Valentine’s Day. 11pm. INSPIRADDOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
WHOOOA! It’s almost here! Weekend of Regret took the Inspirado stage last night for their 7th week and faced off against Chet Watkins! The trash talk was fierce. A sweat pance-wearing Chris Camp brought a fervor to the trash talk that has been lacking for a long time. Nick Jaramillo, of Weekend of Regret, shot back with, “I remember when my Mom first let me wear sweat pants outside of the house…it was freeing”. Brilliant. HERE WE GO!
Chet Watkins took the stage first and chose the Individual Challenge and received BARGAIN BIN. Their set had to be a monoscene that takes place in a DVD Bargain Bin. We were given Blade, Mission Impossible and Jaws! All of the DVDs wanted to be picked up, in the end, they all were purchased by two very lonely friends. Beautiful.
Weekend Of Regret took the stage next and chose the Indianapolis Challenge. They received LENEPY! To honor the Lenepy Indians, the first to discover the land that is now Indianapolis, each line of dialogue had to have 3 seconds of silence in between it. Each scene was grounded and patient. We were given scenes about stalkers, towns taken over by dogs and peyote smoking Indians. It was a wonderful show, one that the Lenepy Indians would be proud of.
WEEKEND OF REGRET! They will return next week (valentine’s Day) to face off against the power couple, MEGALOU! Who will win? Valentine’s Day Inspiradooooooo! Who is more in love? You Decide! 11pm! BOOM!
Weekend Of Regret returns next week for their 4th week on the Inspirado stage.
It was a hostile night on the Inspirado stage. There was some serious trash talk, dirty looks, hard elbows were thrown, but when it came down to the improv, each team let the challenges speak for themselves.
Dr. Champagne took the stage first and chose an Individual Challenge and received Drum Circle. Their entire piece needed to be scored by drums, individually played with found objects. The piece was filled with bohemian vibes, rough beats and melodic tones. A favorite of their set was a group of carpenters looking for a stud while creating their own beats and organic flow. The only thing they were missing was blue make up.
Weekend Of Regret took the stage next and chose a Physical Challenge and received Mexican Stand Off. Their set needed to have a mexican stand off in every scene. The stand off began when they started to get the suggestion, then it quickly evolved into a number of different situations. A mexican stand off date, a mexican stand off 911 emergency office and the best of them all was a mexican stand off water balloon fight. The kid with the hose won. They took a deadly challenge and murdered it.
